Deck Types

Deck type definitions describe the buttons, actions, and feedback available on each supported deck model. The .yaml files live in the decktypes/ directory.

Virtual

Virtual decks mirror the layout of physical decks in a browser window — useful for development and testing without hardware.

Actions

Supported interaction types:

Action Description
none Display only, no interaction
press Single press event
longpress Long-press event (decks that support it directly)
push Pressed and released events — more flexible, allows timing-sensitive actions
encoder Stepped rotary encoder input
cursor Continuous slider/cursor input
swipe Touch-surface gestures

In practice, push is the more flexible event type because it allows timing-sensitive actions such as long-press handling.
